Southern Landscape Professionals, Inc. was a proud participant in the Southern Living Magazine Showcase Home.

Southern Living Magazine opened the doors to the First Annual Showcase of Homes Tour in the fall of 2001. Eight homes located throughout the southeast were on display for a four week period.

The showcase home is located in the Cary Park subdivision and was one of only two tour homes located in North Carolina. Sam Young Builders, Inc. built the home and selected Southern Landscape Professionals, Inc. to complete the landscape design and installation.  An admission charge of $5.00 was collected at the door to benefit the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation in honor of the Derrickson Family.

Our family of experts drafted a design plan that would take advantage of the beautiful country setting of this showcase home.  We used uniquely shaped shrubs to add character to the picket fence surrounding the front yard.  In addition, we opted for the use of fall colors in our plants and trees for a delightful contrast against the backdrop of this elegant white home.

Southern Living magazine is the most successful regional magazine in America with twelve million long-time and loyal readers nationwide. The tour homes were all built from exclusive Southern Living House Plans by members of the magazine's Custom Home Program. 

The tour was promoted in Southern Living magazine and was also broadcast on our local ABC Channel 11 television news.
