Southern Landscape Professionals, Inc. was established as a family enterprise in 1987. The business began under the direction of Bill Adams, Jr. with the assistance of his father Billy and sister Sarah.

Beginning with just five employees in 1987, Southern Landscape Professionals started its tradition of commitment to excellence and quality of work. Respect for the customer and a strong commitment to the community have always been important values of the company.

As our company matured over the years, so did the quality and integrity of our work. Southern Landscape Professionals has developed the ability to create superior landscape value for our clients by combining expert training, horticultural knowledge, craftsmanship, and a commitment to safety.

Our entire family of experts from office staff to architects and production staff is dedicated to serving our customers. All employees are covered by Workman's Compensation insurance and a two million dollar liability policy. Our employees are also provided with retirement and health insurance benefits.

Landscape Industry Awards
We submitted our first Environmental Improvement entries to the North Carolina Landscape Contractors Association in September 1995. Only 25 projects were eligible in the entire state of North Carolina. We were awarded that year with a Merit Award and a Distinction Award. Our company has entered every year since and has been awarded each year with one or both awards. In 1999 and 2000, we were awarded the Grand Awards. These are the most prestigious of our awards, and we are proud to have earned them.

The Associated Landscape Contractors of America have also recognized us with various safety awards. Within the last ten years, we have also received safety awards from our workman's compensation insurance company for our safety record.

Safety Initiatives
Southern Landscape Professionals takes it commitment to safety very seriously. We hold monthly safety meetings at our office with an interpreter present for our non-English speaking associates. All employees are trained to properly use all of the necessary protective gear available at each job site including back belts, eye protection, hard hats, dust masks, chaps, gloves, and ear protection. In addition, all employees must wear steel toe work boots.
